A simple but luxurious double stripe silk. What makes this tie particularly special, is that it is woven in Irish Poplin, an unusual blend that dates back to 1820 and which received the acclaim of Queen Victoria in 1837. The blade on this tie 8.5cm. It is self tipped. Woven and crafted for Budd by one of the UK's oldest and most traditional mills. Irish poplin is a blend of silk and wool and a true heritage cloth, first woven in 1820 and produced by the same UK mill today. We combine it with traditional craftsmanship to produce a handsome hand-slipped tie.
